Additionally, if you are a LaBorniacs member, you received your box with a copy of Chain-Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei Brenyah earlier this month for our next installment of The Cost of Freedom. As expected, our primary focus this month was Buzzard's launch, but it's time to start diving into this book together!

I am going to post a poll on this blog for meeting times for our first meeting. Reminder, we are not doing our meetings the same way we did for our last installment. Instead of breaking the book down into sections that we read together over the next two months, we will discuss the entire book at our first meeting, and then spend the next two months discussing not just the book, but its real world implications, as well as looking at resources and ideas on how to navigate actual conversations about abolition and prison reform.
