GIVEAWAY: The Halfling Saga

I have been a fan of The Halfling Saga since I read the very first book in the series several years ago. I was privileged enough to be one of the first people to read each of its subsequential sequels, including An Honored Vow—the fourth and final installment in the series.

I have a lot of feelings, having finished the series. I am thrilled to have been able to be a part of promoting and hyping up these books for the last several years. And I feel so privileged to have been able to enjoy Keera’s (the main character) story. As expected, it was a beautiful and thrilling end to an unbelievable story. But… it was also the end. And frankly, I wasn’t ready.

The Halfling Saga follows Keera, a half-elf who has been forced to serve the human King who destroyed her people and stole their land about a century beforehand. For decades, she has been forced to serve as his most deadly assassin, used as a weapon against her own people. But she has never forgotten where she came from. She has had no choice but to kill for the king, but she has always known that resistence was her end goal. So when a mysterious stranger pops up who is openly working against the empire, she jumps at the opportunity to follow him into the fae realm, where she can not only learn how big of a threat he is, but see if maybe the time has come to finally fight back.

This series follows Keera as she fights to reconnect with—and restore—a heritage that was stolen from her before she even knew her own name, all while she wrestles through the incredibly heavy weight of having spent her entire life being forced to participate in the violent oppression of the very people she is committed to protecting.

This story… it is everything. It is filled with incredibly difficult conversations, beautiful imagery and a nuanced look at the dual fight to embrace your ancestry while also existing in a world that forces you to be complicit in your own destruction. It is a beautiful, and haunting, look at indigeneity, oppression and the fight for liberation. And I couldn’t recommend it more!

Which is why I partnered up with Union Square and Co to give away two full sets of The Halfling Saga, which includes: A Broken Blade, A Shadow Crown, A Vicious Game & An Honored Vow.
