Quick Recap: Inferno's Heir is a Young Adult fantasy about a princess who must choose between being married off to an old, abusive rich man, being killed by her power-hungry brother who hates her for her mother's heritage or infiltrating a growing resistance movement and delivering its leader to her brother in order to earn his favor and save herself from his wrath. Oh, and add elemental magic into the mix!!!

I must warn you: there are very few characters you will consider to be good people in this story. But there is plenty of conflict that will keep you invested in moving the story forward.

I like to tell people that this story is what would have happened if Azula had been the one to be rejected by her father in Avatar the Last Airbender, instead of Zuko. As the daughter of the King, she and her brother have been gifted with the power to control fire. But through her mother, she also has access to power over water. Which is largely the reason that her brother--and by extension, the entire Kingdom--detests and fears her. Because, at its core, power divides people. And she is uniquely positioned to bring barriers down. Is that what she will use her power to do? That remains to be seen, because as I said... our main characters are not good people. lol

So if you are interested in elemental fantasy with a bad girl Princess who is working to infiltrate a rebellion that hates her oppressor as much as she does, this is probably a good story for you!
