MAY BOOKCLUB PICK

MAY BOOKCLUB PICK

Hey, bookclub family!

I know it's the second! Please forgive me for just finally updating our bookclub pick. But we're here, so let's do this!

For MAY, we are going to be reading The Killing Spell by Shay Kauwe.

The Killing Spell follows Kea Petrova, a 25 year old Hawaiian clan leader just trying to keep her people safe and cared for. 200 years ago, after Hawaii was submerged during a massive flood and magic was released into the world. To survive, her people drew up a treaty with the city of Los Angeles, granting them land. Now, as the youngest clan leader, she is working tirelessly just to keep the bills paid so that her people can continue to survive. But when a prominent activist is murdering using her people's magic, she is going to have to do everything she can to solve his murder and clear her name before it costs her clan everything.
